Jill Dvareckas is a Director of Development at Florida Power & Light (FPL) in Juno Beach, Florida. Jill leads FPL’s distributed energy resources and emerging technologies development team. Jill is responsible for leading the development and execution of new and innovative renewable energy programs, including SolarNow™, FPL‘s first community funded, voluntary solar program, and FPL SolarTogether – An FPL Shared Solar Program, a new community solar program that will be filed with the Florida Public Service Commission in March 2019. In addition to expanding access to solar power, Jill oversees the deployment of Florida’s first large scale battery pilot program and FPL’s first electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure pilot. These programs are key to enabling distributed energy resources to become a growing part of the modern electric grid resulting in a cleaner and more efficient system, reducing costs while increasing reliability for all customers.
Jill joined FPL from NextEra Energy Resources where she led NEER’s distributed generation (DG) solar and storage project development team, with overall responsibility for development, financing and execution of commercial-scale solar PV and behind-the-meter energy storage projects throughout the United States. Jill also held project director positions for the DG Solar and Energy Storage teams at NEER. She joined NEER in 2013 following three and a half years as a member of First Solar’s Business Development and Project Finance teams. At First Solar Jill had a demonstrated track record of successfully managing diligence efforts, contract negotiation and execution of major project acquisitions, sales, and financings.
Jill earned a B.A. in International Studies from American University in Washington, D.C
